Gisborne's marine oil spill response team

 Gisborne's marine oil spill response team were put through their paces last week after a practical exercise took place by the Marina car park at the junction of the three rivers on Friday. A desk top exercise was also held on Thursday. Both exercises were led by Louise Bennett, currently New Zealand's only Regional On Scene Commander, and only the second women to be appointed to this position.
