The annual appraisal can be a dreaded process for employer and employee alike, but fortunately for you and your business, POD Consulting is hosting a workshop that will teach you how to successfully navigate this process.

The Managing Performance – The Appraisal and Beyond workshop by New Zealand’s leading HR business, POD Consulting, will have you learn how you can sail through the appraisal process efficiently and effectively as well as put in place a smart process for when appraisal issues arise.

Held on March 29 at the POD Auckland Office in Botany Downs from 8.30am – 10.30am, the Managing Performance – The Appraisal and Beyond workshop will help you to understand what to consider when undertaking an appraisal process and how to implant effective and efficient ongoing performance management within your business.

“We will be looking at innovative ways of managing performance effectively, like giving feedback on the fly – as and when something good or not so good arises,” says Kerryn Strong, Change Manager at POD Consulting.

 “It is also important to look at building in the more structured opportunities to discuss performance (weekly/ fortnightly ‘catch ups’, monthly 1-1 meetings, quarterly reviews of KPIs) so that when you get to the annual performance appraisal – there are no surprises!,” adds Kerryn.

And when it is not so smooth sailing, POD Consulting can help you deal with that too. “The major thing is to avoid is burying your head in the sand when it comes to passing on something more difficult or constructive to a staff member,” advises Kerryn.

The workshop will be facilitated by Lotte Aarts. Lotte has 10 years’ experience within the Human Resources and Organisational Development sector, where she thoroughly enjoys working alongside her clients and becoming their HR expert. Lottte is now sharing her knowledge about understanding the complexities of managing people whilst endeavouring to achieve business goals.
