There is an ever increasing need from farmers for effective cleaning solutions to help clean up around the farm. We have seen recent cleaning innovations for the farm such as the Kärcher Mud Sucker which is highly effective at quickly draining a dirty and murky water trough when used in conjunction with a water blaster. Once emptied, the water blaster is then used to high pressure clean the trough providing a cleaner water source for the animals.

Today we continue seeing some exciting new innovations and improvements around the cleaning of machinery, starting with Kärcher’s new EASY!Force trigger gun technology which gives the operator the power to use high pressure with ease by offering effortless, ergonomic and stress free cleaning, which in turn increases cleaning productivity. This new initiative is achieved by repositioning the trigger lever from inside the gun handle to the exterior of the handle, with the recoil force of the high pressure jet helping to keep the trigger lever open and thereby reducing the holding force to zero.

Further innovation is achieved with hot water blasters where we see new energy saving features like Eco!efficiency mode settings that can achieve reduced fuel energy by up to 20% but still allow the operator to clean effectively in optimised hot water mode. When eco!efficiency mode is active, the water temperature is adjusted to 60°C, because 60°C is entirely sufficient to fulfil most cleaning tasks for light to moderate soiling.

Daily hygiene is paramount wherever germs are present. Most farms tend to use petrol cold water blasters, primarily due to their ease of mobility and higher pressure performance, but increasing in popularity, particularly with dairy farmers are high pressure hot water blasters / steam cleaners.  Cleaning with hot water provides significant advantages over cold water blasting formats as heat reduces working time, improved hygiene, can reduce / eliminate the need for detergent and ultimately provides a significantly improved cleaning result.

With the hot water blaster’s superior temperature heat range, a variety of cleaning activities can be carried out from lower temperature protein removal to high temperature steam cleaning sanitisation, particularly if you want greater hygenic cleaning or a more organic approach to your cleaning process. A significant reduction in germs can be demonstrated after cleaning with hot water, and steam being effective to remove or reduce fungal spores in the milking shed. As a result, you benefit not only from improved levels of hygiene and healthy livestock, but above all you can save time and money on animal medications. And for many hygiene requirements, this effective germ reduction without disinfectants can be fully sufficient.

Aside from the milking shed, hot water blasters are ideal for regularly cleaning and maintaining high value farm assets including tractors and quad bikes thoroughly to remove stubborn crusts, oil and grease residues, particularly where the machinery gets regularly exposed to large amounts of mud and animal manure / residue that can be harsh on metals if left to settle for a longer period of time.

Kärcher machines quickly and efficiently meet your farm cleaning requirements, combining reduced risk of infections and the spread of diseases.
