The final week in June, was a very busy one for Glen Eden Extreme Edge, with Inter school comp, and also several of their members went to the New Zealand National cup and competed. This is a competition for New Zealand’s top climbers, and Glen Eden Extreme Edge had several from their gym achieve placings there as well. (Please see below). This month, on the 8th they have their circus night, which includes a high line, low slack line, rope swing, cargo net climb, abseiling, natural pro placement and hover boards, which everyone is looking forward to.
Several of Glen Eden Extreme Edge gym members were competing in the National cup at Mt Manganui as part of the Auckland team, and everyone is very proud of their results for their respective categories. Congratulations to Akira, 4th lead, 2nd bouldering, Emma 2nd lead, 2nd bouldering, Cherie 2nd lead and 3rd bouldering, and Zane 2nd in open lead and 1st masters lead and bouldering. A huge effort was made by the West guys, so well done from everyone at Glen Eden Extreme Edge. Some of their trophies and medals are on display at the gym.
