Katharine Eustace (Wanaka) placed 14th in the Skeleton World Cup race in Park City, Utah on 16 November. This was the second of nine World Cup races for the 2012-13 season.

Eustace once again had top five fastest starts and was lying inside the top 10 after her first run but mistakes in the second run dropped her back to 14th.

‘I am pleased with my start, now I just need to drive consistently well. I am still learning heaps and I am sure it is just a matter of time before I can put everything together. I am pleased with some of the things I achieved today, just not the end result.’

The race was won by the current World Champion Katie Uhlaender of the USA, with Lizzy Yarnold, GBR in second just 0.01sec behind and Anja Huber, Germany in third.

World Cup skeleton racing moves next weekend to Whistler, the home of the 2010 Winter Olympics on the fastest, most technical track in the World.
