Newcomers Sunnyhills beat defending champions Kohimarama 4-2 in the women’s semis to set up a final against Royal Oak who defeated Parnell by the same scoreline.  The young Sunnyhills team were led by Paige Hourigan who comfortably won both of her matches.  Royal Oak will be attempting to claim the title next week after numerous near misses over the last few years.  Sunnyhills will be playing to win in its debut year in the Scarbro Caro Bowl competition.

Parnell will take on Blockhouse Bay next Friday in the final of the Scarbro Caro Bowl Men’s premier interclub competition after both teams won 5-1 in the semi-finals. Parnell defeated defending champs Remuera winning both doubles matches and three of the four singles played.  The only loss for Parnell was Mark Neilsen losing to Martin Colenbrander in the number two position.  Last years runner-up Blockhouse Bay dropped one of the doubles matches against Cockle Bay but claimed all four singles in straight sets to secure a finals berth and a chance to win the title for the very first time.
