Six arrested appear in court on immigration-related charges

Six people arrested last week as part of an Immigration New Zealand-led investigation into allegations of migrant labour exploitation and other immigration-related offending appeared in Wellington District Court this morning.
 
Those arrested face charges under the Immigration Act and the Crimes Act.  Interim name suppression has been granted to all six defendants and they have been remanded on bail.

The next court appearance is scheduled for 9 January 2013.
