The public’s feedback is being sought on the trial of LED streetlights in New Plymouth.

In June the Council started replacing 70 streetlights on sections of Tukapa Street and Heta Road as part of an energy efficiency project.

“They’ve now be in place for a few months and we’d like to know what people think of them,” says Manager Roading Assets Max Aves.

“LEDs give off a different quality of light from our standard streetlights. We want to hear people’s thoughts about the quality of illumination and their perceived level of safety along these sections of road.”

The Tukapa Street lights are between Sanders and Omata roads, and the Heta Road lights are between Cumberland Street and Branch Road

The public can fill in an online survey on this website. Feedback closes by Christmas.
