Search on for missing whitebaiter

A search is currently underway for a missing whitebaiter in the Ruamahanga River, approx 7kms upstream from the rivermouth at Lake Ferry in Wairarapa.

The missing person is a 78yr old, who was last seen near the river at approximately 1.30pm today.

A number of Police staff and locals (using Jetskis)are currently conducting the search, as well as a helicopter from Masterton.
