Body Located In Lake Wainamu

The Police Dive Squad has today located the deceased body of a man aged 50 years who went missing on Sunday in the waters of Lake Wainamu at Bethell’s Beach.

The body was discovered at 12.43pm Tuesday 18 December 2012 in the waters of the lake about 20 metres from the shoreline.

The deceased has been formally identified as:

FAULKNER / Grant Robert
DOB 24/02/1962 – Age 50 years
Resident of Bethell’s Beach – Married

Police extend their gratitude to local residents including surf club members for their assistance during the search for the deceased.

Police have now referred the incident to the Coroner.
