Fatal Motorcycle crash on farm
Balclutha Police are continuing inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the death of Rowan Cai PARKER aged 16 yrs following a motorcycle crash in the Chaslands area at about 630 pm on 26th December .
Mr Parker was visiting a farm property with friends and had been riding motorcycles on farm land between Marks Bay and Wallace Bay .
Initial inquiries have established that while the group were riding along a track beside the coast line Mr Parker has lost control of a 4 wheel motorcycle he was riding and driven over a cliff falling 150 meters on to rocks below .
The scene was attended by Balclutha Police, Papatawai Fire brigade and the Otago Rescue Helicopter, paramedic's confirmed that Mr Parker had died at the scene as result of his injuries.
The deceased was airlifted from the scene and taken to Dunedin Hospital.
Police inquires are continuing , the four wheel motorcycle will be recovered by helicopter from the scene today .
The case will be referred to the coroner .
