Slide and Ride winners drawn

Two Queenstown children will be riding new bikes this weekend thanks to H&J Smith Outdoor World AvantiPlus and Alpine Aqualand’s Slide & Ride promotion. Daniel Davies, 5, of Remarkables Primary School and Lachlan Dunn, 6, of Queenstown Primary, were the winners in the first of two Avanti Plus bike prize draws.

For the second year running Alpine Aqualand and H&J Smith Outdoor World of Frankton have teamed up to offer locals the chance to win one of four AvantiPlus bikes when they ride the hydroslide during December and January.

Alpine Aqualand’s Pool Operations Manager Patrick Healy said they are delighted to be able to do something fun for local Queenstown families especially now that the Queenstown Trail has made biking such a popular family activity throughout the region. “Thanks to the generosity of H&J Smith Outdoor World we’ve been able to give families a fantastic added incentive to use the hydroslide, especially over summer when swimming is such a popular activity. It was great fun making two kids so happy today.”

Two more bikes will be given away in early February so anyone riding the hydroslide throughout January will be eligible for entry into the draw.
