Wet roads and windy conditions - Take extra care

Police ask drivers to exercise extra care on the roads today.

There has been overnight rain in the Lower North Island causing roads to be slippery with some minor surface flooding.

There is low mist in Wellington at present meaning limited visibility.

And Police have reports of high winds on the Desert Road and we ask all drivers to drive to the conditions.
