Man fighting for life after near drowning

BREAKING NEWS: A man is fighting for his life with ambulance crews after a near drowning in the Coromandel.
The man is in critical condition and is being treated by perimedics at the scene.
The Auckland Westpac Helicopter is 'rushing' to the scene now.
Police are also at the scene
It took place in Whangamata, on the southeast coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, just before 1.30pm said a St John northern communications spokeswoman.
