Flash Flooding in New Plymouth, SKY TV off air
LATEST: A large low that went over New Plymouth this afternoon has caused flash flooding in some areas, causing SKY TV to go off air and roads to be fully enclosed in water.
The rain has stopped but the large amount of rain was enough for pipes to full up with water including emergency services recieving a flurry of calls.
Reports from residents of New Plymouth saw the Fire Service and ambulances rushing to an emergency near Oakura, East of New Plymouth.
While there was a small injury at the Meeting of the waters while the rain plumpted down.
SKY TV OFF AIR
Sky TV has gone back on air for many New Plymouth viewers however if you still continue to have difficulties call SKY's 0800 number.
Light rain is continuing to fall in New Plymouth which may cause the quality of some channels to be low however Sky is beginning to take care of the issue.
New Plymouth is to have rain for more then five days with Monday a severe weather warning.
One resident told infonews.co.nz that the rain had the pottential to create damage.
