Memorial service for famed mountaineer

A memorial service for famed mountaineer George Lowe will be held at St Mathews Church in Hastings this Sunday (30th June) at 10am.
Mr Lowe was born and educated in Hastings and was an integral part of the successful British expedition to the summit of Mt Everest with Sir Edmund Hillary in 1953.
He died in England on March 20th 2013.
The memorial service is open to the public.
