Taranaki police chase ends positive

LATEST: A high speed police chase that began at around 10.45pm ended just moments ago, positive.
The police chase began outside ZENVEST Mortgage Brokers 32 Northgate Strandon, the chase headed to Bell Block where the vehicle turned around.
Police were travelling at high speeds to keep up with the vehicle, and by the time the vehicle got past Westown heading towards Oakura, a helicopter was involved.
What we can confirm is the police chase headed just two or three kilometres outside of Oakura just past Ahu Ahu Road, to Weld Road which is an dead end, where the police have reportedly aprehended the person involved.
We do not know how many people were involved, or there medical condition.
Our reporters in the CBD while driving into the CBD saw police vehicles head out in the direction of the chase, when our reporters began heading back into the Westown area those police vehicles were seen travelling back, including the helicopter involved in the chase which was currently en-route when news came in the police had arrested the person involved.
