Twenty-two Kapiti and Horowhenua businesses have today been named as finalists in this year’s Electra Business Awards.
This is the largest number of finalists for many years and Business Kapiti Horowhenua Chair, Mark Ternent, says this has been possible through a re-organisation of the award sections.
The excellence awards have been divided into Owner Operator, Small Business and Medium-Large Business. One of the ten finalists in these three sections will also be named Electra Business of the Year.
A new category this year is the Most Promising Clean Technology Award for which Silica Glass Crushers and Zero Emission Vehicles are the finalists.
In the Customer Choice awards, which allowed public voting for the first time, the retail finalists are Over the Teacups, Paula’s Furniture and Beds, Quarter Acre Café & Bistro and Undercover Secrets Lingerie. The service finalists are Craig Pope Mortgages & Insurance, Gemz Beauty, Kapiti Mortgages & Insurance, Levin Novus and Ohau Playcentre.
