Chairman Mr Raghbir Singh JP said “it is with great pleasure that today I wish to formally announce that our board has unanimously approved the seven applications. “by donating the remaining funds to Kidz First / Burns Unit for children we are ensure that they will be used in the best possible way by those children who are in most need.

“We are aware that these funds have come from generations of Papatoetoe residents through what was the Papatoetoe Licensing Trust, selling the old St George Tavern. As a board we had a strong desire to ensure that 100% of the limited funds that we have, would be best used by the most people.” He said

Raghbir Singh JP concluded by saying “By supporting our local primary schools we are ensuring that future generations of Papatoetoe school children have the best start to a decent education and the projects that we have approved will ensure that the effects of this money will be seen in years ahead.”
