Critical injuries after serious alleged assault

BREAKING NEWS: A young man is suffering critical injuries in Taranaki Base Hospital after a serious alleged assault this morning in Manaia, Taranaki. 

Head of Taranaki CIB Inspector Keith Borrell said police are heading to the Manaia address and to the hospital to begin an investigation on the assult. 

"The alleged assault is yet to be confirmed" he said.
