Hamilton, 5 May 2014,
The Venus Network was founded in Tauranga in March 2008 by Vanessa Davey and is now New Zealand’s largest women’s only networking organisation dedicated to supporting women in business. There are 40 Venus groups nationwide from North Auckland to Christchurch, with four in the Waikato/Waipa region.
Groups meet fortnightly for one hour and follow an agenda specifically designed to help members grow both personally and professionally. All four Waikato groups meet from 9-10am which makes it easier for working mothers to attend meetings after doing the school run.
The Venus Network CEO & founder, Vanessa Davey, said Julie South’s excellent reputation in the Waikato as a networker, coupled with her previous experience in facilitating two Hamilton groups was seen as an exciting step in consolidating the Venus Network in the Waikato. “Julie was instrumental in launching the Hamilton East group in 2013 and I therefore see this as an excellent synergistic relationship” said Davey.
Citing strong leadership and market position in New Zealand, HaloBiz sees the contract as an exciting step for the company. Commenting on the new contract Julie South, General Manager of HaloBiz said, “We’re excited to be aligned with an organisation of such integrity & commitment to both women in business and networking, as the Venus Network. Having had the privilege of leading and facilitating two groups in Hamilton over the last 12 months we’re very privileged to be able to contribute via such a critical role in the Venus Network’s future in the Waikato”
