Hesketh Henry has always had a strong presence in central Auckland, providing a comprehensive range of legal services to a wide variety of domestic and international businesses and individuals. They are also passionately involved in services to the community and have been  one of the major sponsors of the New Zealand Sculpture OnShore event for the last 10 years. The event raises money for New Zealand Women’s Refugeand is the largest outdoor sculpture exhibition in New Zealand. The exhibition is held   bi-annually and this year runs from the 6th until the -16 of November. The venue is again the amazing cliff-top Fort Takapuna Historic Reserve in Devonport.

At the cheque presentation following  the previous exhibition, NZ Sculpture OnShore Chair, Sue Harvey, acknowledged the contribution made by Hesketh Henry. “The board wishes to thank Hesketh Henry and its other generous sponsors and supporters, the inspirational artists who invest considerably in this iconic event and all the dedicated and passionate volunteers who give tirelessly and enthusiastically to make NZ Sculpture OnShore a magnificent event for all Aucklanders.”

To date, over $1.34 million dollars has been donated to Women’s Refuge and including $110,000 at the last event. This revenue has provided seed funding for the Yellow Belle project which Hesketh Henry also supports. Yellow Belle is a Women’s Refuge Boutique and Kate Telford (Partner) is one of their Steering Committee Members. Hesketh Henry has provided a range of pro bono legal advice to Women’s Refuge in relation to this venture. They have also, for many years, provided pro-bono legal services to The TYLA Trust  which was established in 1996 to identify and provide world class early intervention programmes for "at risk" youth. Originally established in Avondale, West Auckland, TYLA has now set up additional programmes in Otara, South Auckland, and works in conjunction with the Government, the local community, New Zealand Police and other partners, all having a common vision to reduce the number of young offenders in New Zealand.

Hesketh Henry are also proud to support LIFEWISE, which is an Auckland-based community organisation dedicated to initiating new ways to solve challenging social issues and providing services to families in need, the homeless as well as older and disabled people. "Hesketh Henry has been supporting us for over four years now. Each Christmas the team at Hesketh Henry works together to collect food and toys which are then distributed to children and families. For some, Christmas can be a very stress filled time of year and Hesketh Henry's compassion and support helps to spread Christmas joy to those who would struggle with the bare essentials. We are truly grateful for the efforts of the entire team at Hesketh Henry", said Lesley Mynett-Johnson, Development Manager, LIFEWISE.
