Stage's confirmed for city fireworks display
EXCLUSIVE: Allen Juffermans has confirmed to Youth in Politics that New Plymouth’s 2014 fireworks display is in full action, confirming the presence of two stages at the event for November.
The event is to go ahead next month on the 5th which is a Wednesday in New Plymouth’s CBD starting at 7pm.
The event which has been fully fundraised by business men of New Plymouth including Juffermans, Adrian Sole from the Taranaki Daily News and Richard Shearer of The Most FM will have two stages, they’ve just announced.
One stage will be placed at New Plymouth’s famous Wind Wand, while another will be at the Huatoki Plaza so the event engages and connects with the vibrant city.
An Facebook event was created just yesterday, of which already 300 people have confirmed their attendance, and event creator Juffermans say’s he is aiming for a 10,000 people turn out.
The group have raised well over $10,000 and that the biggest challenge has been getting insurance for the public event.
