Homicide launched after stabbing

At approximately 1.45am this morning a male in his early 20's was stabbed in Ridge Road, Howick. 

The male subsequently died en route to hospital. It is believed at this stage that the male victim and his friend had been to a nearby party and were walking along Ridge Road when they were approached by two males.

One of these males has then stabbed the victim. 

Ridge Road will be closed while an extensive scene examination is carried out.
