Emily's Weight Watchers Journey
After joining Weight Watchers in January this year, Hamilton’s Emily Hunt has lost 11kg and is delighted with her success.
“I knew it worked as I did it before back in England and lost heaps with my mum,” says Emily. “It’s the only thing that works as weight loss is 80 percent food and 20 percent exercise. You can still eat everything - you just get a daily allowance.”
Emily, who works as a real estate agent at Lodge Real Estate’s Dinsdale office, says Weight Watchers is the sensible way to lose weight.
“I’m feeling great,” she says. “The weight loss is steady constant so it will last longer and I’m much more aware of my food choices.”
Emily says she has had to make some changes to her lifestyle since joining Weight Watchers.
“The biggest change is less alcohol and the naughty food that comes with a hangover! I can still party but I am allowed one big night a week now.”
Weight Watchers encourages healthy eating combined with moderate exercise. Emily advises anyone wanting to lose weight to try not to do too much at once.
“I am slowly getting back into swimming for exercise. I actually quit the gym when I started, as if you try to do everything at once you are doomed to give up.”
Emily also says losing weight with Weight Watchers can be fun.
“The points are like a game,” she says, “and I do it all on my phone. I love the scanning app so you can check before you eat!
So what’s next for Emily on her weight loss journey?
“On to the next 10kg,” she says, “but taking it week by week. I want to be a healthy weight for the future looking good and feeling great.”
