Argent Still On Top With TripAdvisor

Argent Motor Lodge continues its reign as number one motel in Hamilton on review site TripAdvisor, after winning TripAdvisor’s Traveller’s Choice award for 2016.

“We’re humbled to have such great reviews,” says Argent’s owner Graeme Hunt.  “We take our guests very seriously so it’s always good to hear how they’re feeling about the accommodation.  We want them to enjoy their stay.

Koko2002 from Auckland gave Argent Motor Lodge a five star review on TripAdvisor.  “Hotels were full in Hamilton city, so stayed here because of the reviews. Clean, modern, easy carpark access, very friendly staff - showed us to our room. Would definitely stay again. Not far from supermarkets or takeaways,” said Koko2002 in a review from 19 May 2016.

Leah Lindsay, Operations Manager at Argent Motor Lodge, says she always endeavours to write a response to the TripAdvisor reviews.

“It’s an added little touch,” she says, “to show our guests that we are reading their reviews and appreciate their feedback.”

Denise W from Putaruru said on TripAdvisor on 18 May 2016, “Introduction of lodge by Graeme and Leah as you sign in to reception is warming and welcoming, our reason for staying at the Argent was location to Waikato Hospital to be close to Denise(wife & mother) while Denise had her Operation, Our girls and I were close by and had accommodation. Graeme and Leah were helpful and accommodating to our stay, going above normal service, offering to drive us to hospital and pick up, Even though the walk is 3 min. Cleaning staff were every helpful, Room was spotless every time we came back from visiting Denise.”

Leah and Graeme say they often have guests staying who either have loved ones in Waikato Hospital or need to go there themselves.  Being the closest motel to the hospital, they are always prepared for guests who might need a little extra care or help getting to and from the hospital.
