Celebrate Christmas with Plume's End of Year Parties

Situated just an hour’s drive from Auckland or Whangarei, Plume, the vineyard restaurant, Matakana is a must visit destination on any Matakana wine or food journey and at this time of the year they are the perfect venue for that end of year Christmas party. Plume Vineyard Restaurant are about fabulous local New Zealand wine and produce which together celebrate culinary diversity.  Plume is a small town, rural, rustic restaurant with friendly service from locally employed staff, and is a great change from the starchy fine dining service of a big city like Auckland, making it a fun and trendy place for that end of year ‘do’. With their great food, superb wine and gorgeous views to relax in, Plume Vineyard Restaurant is a great place to get away from the madness of Auckland city.

Below is this year’s delicious Christmas Menu, a three course meal, with a choice of two mains and the cost is $80 pp, with a minimum of 15 guests and maximum of 35. Above 35 would be ‘alternate drop’ of the mains selected. A glass of French bubbly can be added at $10 extra pp. This menu is available for lunch Wednesday to Sunday and dinner Friday and Saturday. They will also open on other days for parties of 50 or more.

Christmas Menu

Hors d’Oeuvres – Prawn cocktail with chilli glazed pineapple, beef carpaccio with Tuscan mayonnaise, herb crusted goat’s cheese and bell pepper coulis.

Mains (select any two) – Beef Wellington, horseradish puree, smoked tomato and mushroom ragout, merlot jus; Champagne Ham schnitzel, wilted spinach, crushed kumara and watercress, baby pear and Calvados sauce; Chicken Roulade, prawn farce, nori, sweet corn puree and puy lentils; Akaroa salmon, prosciutto wrapped, mandarin puree, saffron poached potatoes, summer greens.

Sweet Moment – Petit selection of homemade desserts; passionfruit fruit torte, kiwi pavlova, dark chocolate pave, raspberry and vodka jelly shot, fresh seasonal fruits.

Plume can cater for all dietary requirements if known in advance.
