Plume Café is located in the heart of Matakana Village and is a local favourite for great coffees, delectable pastries, artisan breads and superb food. The Café is now pleased to announce the introduction of High Tea, which started on November 9, 2016.

On offer is a delectable array of freshly baked sweet and savoury scones with whipped cream, jam and butter, a spread of sandwiches and sliders, and other delicious and dainty temptations such as cupcakes. These are all made in-house by Plume’s dedicated bakers and chefs, and, of course, the High Tea will be rounded off with a selection of the best teas. High teas at Plume Café are available for a great value price of $59 for two people.

After serving high teas at the Langham and Stanford hotels in Auckland city, it was head chef, Atesh’s dream to create the special high teas at Plume Café in Matakana, and he has done this with the creative input of baker Heiko Besgems and his assistant Moniel Naiker. Christmas at Plume Café saw the famous Stollen and Mince Tarts flying off the shelves –now we await the return of the Hot Cross Buns!

The Runner Duck ‘Joy’ methode traditionelle sparkling wine was launched in mid December. Gluten Free/Vegetarian is available on prior booking notice only. The Plume Café high teas are available weekdays only from 10am to 2pm , and Saturday afternoons for groups of ten or more on request.

Plume Café is an offshoot of Plume Vineyard restaurant which is situated just an hour’s drive from Auckland or Whangarei. Plume, is a must visit destination on any Matakana wine or food journey and they are all about fabulous local New Zealand wine and produce which together can celebrate “culinary diversity.”  Plume is a small town, rural, rustic restaurant with friendly service from locally employed staff. It is a great change from the starchy fine dining service of a big city like Auckland yet is in a class of its own, so for more information on Plume Café and Plume Vineyard Restaurant, please visit the website at http://www.plumerestaurant.co.nz .
