My Box NZ takes on Sky in giving back by giving away five FREE units

My Box NZ has already created waves by causing Sky’s legal team to ask the business to close its doors and now the provider of affordable television is taking on the powerhouse in a new way. The business is running a competition via their Facebook page – My Box NZ – giving away five free My Box units for the lucky winners.
“One thing which I must stress is that I am truly into Social Giving,” says Krish Reddy, owner of My Box NZ, “each business I am involved in gives back in some way. This is my way of getting My Box NZ to be involved with Social Giving.”
The My Box unit comprises of an easily transported box which is programmed to run the highest-quality streams so owners can watch any television programme they desire. Boxes are fitted with New Zealand Freeview to begin with, and Netflix and YouTube are also available through My Box.
The streams run in HD. All that is required to run a My Box unit is a WiFi connection. The unit uses approximately 3.2GB of data per month, which is great efficiency.
The timing for this giveaway could not be any better, according to Krish, given the events that have transpired for My Box NZ over the last week. Sky becoming involved has allowed My Box NZ to reach out to those who are disgruntled with the Sky service.
“It is the perfect time for us to give back. It is common knowledge that Sky Television has several people who are sick and tired of the service. For us to now reach out to these people and show them our service is a great opportunity. I firmly believe that all New Zealanders should be able to watch what they want at an affordable rate.”
