Otaki crash closes SH1

Police are currently dealing with an accident on the corner of SH1 and Waerenga Road. A car has hit a power pole causing a line to come down on the road.

Four occupants were in the car and one of these is currently still being freed from the vehicle by Fire.

Injuries are not believed to be serious.

Warerenga Road is now closed between SH1 and Dunsten Road while the scene is clear and the powerline is repaired.
