Visit Leather Experts Mavis & Mick in the brand-new Town and Country Marquee at the Field Days

For relative new-comers to the Field Days Mavis & Mick, based in Cambridge and Waihi Beach, the event is one which owner Mikala Walshe looks forward to. This year the business which specialises in leather shoes and apparel will be in the new town and country marquee, which Mikala describes as the “place to be.”
“It’s exciting to be back at the Field Days. It will be the third year running we are involved and each year it gets bigger and better. We are especially happy to be in the new marquee which is bound to attract interest.”
The experience Mavis & Mick has had at the Field Days holds the business in good stead for the 2017 edition. The team understand the need to have something different at the event to stand out and Mikala says that this year a partnership with fellow Cambridge business Gabriels holds the key to attracting visitors.
“We have a fun promotion running in partnership with Gabriels who do women’s apparel a couple of doors down from us in Cambridge. The competition is to guess the value of one of our handbags with accessories inside from both businesses. Entry is free for all who visit our stall so I would encourage everyone to get involved,” says Mikala.
Gabriels has been owned by Fay and Warren Haakma since November 2016, when the couple took over from Gabriel. The business has formed a friendship with Mavis & Mick with Fay and Mikala often visiting each other due to the proximity of the businesses on Victoria Street in the town centre.
“We will have many of our shoes on display and the majority will be at a special sale rate too. The Field Days is a great chance for us to show people who we are and what we do. I look forward to catching up with current customers and meeting potential ones too,” says Mikala.
To visit Mavis & Mick at the upcoming Field Days and enter the competition, head to site TC4 and find them. The 2017 Field Days promises to be the biggest yet, and is not to be missed.
