Pedestrian killed after hit by truck in Gore

Just after Midnight this morning a 21 year old male pedestrian was killed after being struck by a truck on the Waipahi Highway (SH1) near the Ravensdown factory in Gore.

The road is currently closed but detours are in place. It is expected to be reopened about 6.00am. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
