Hamilton-based Civtec sponsor the Special Children's Christmas Party

In an act of Social Giving, Hamilton-based Civtec have become a major sponsor of the Special Children’s Christmas Party held in Hamilton this year.
Held on the 16th December 2017 at the Mystery Creek Event Centre, the Special Children’s Christmas Party provides an unforgettable experience for terminally ill and disabled Kiwi kids. “It’s about giving these kids an unbeatable experience and wonderfully happy memories,” says Kim Turner, Event Co-Ordinator.
“These events can’t happen without the help and support of the local businesses.” adds Kim. Civtec will be a major sponsor for this event and will be in attendance on the day.
The Special Children’s Christmas Party approached Civtec to sponsor last year’s event and “we enjoyed being a part of it so much that we wanted to be a major sponsor this year,” says Shane Smart, CEO of Civtec.
“These fantastic events have been running in New Zealand for more than 17 years, so they have changed thousands of kids’ lives and we are happy to support them,” says Mr Smar
The children invited to the special Christmas party are either physically impaired, intellectually impaired, suffering from a life-threatening illness or victims of abuse or neglect.
“We deal with some tough stuff here in little New Zealand, and the numbers are not getting any smaller. So it’s nice to have business like Civtec on board supporting the event,” says Kim.
At Special Children’s Christmas Party children are treated to a day of celebrity stage shows, enjoyable rides, interactive games, heaps of delicious food, face painting and more fun activities. But of course the highpoint of the day is when the children enter Santa’s Toy Cave where they are given two to three high quality toys to call their very own.
“We are proud to be supporting such a wonderful event, these kids don’t often get to experience Christmas like everyone else does, so to give these kids something special for Christmas is an awesome feeling,” adds Mr Smart.
