Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology today welcomed the appointment of prominent Rotorua professional, Ana Morrison, to the position of Executive Director: Strategic Partnerships and Māori Success.

E mihi ana a Toi Ohomai, hau mau rā te ihu o te waka o tēnei reanga mahi o te tautōhito o te takiwā nei a Rotorua. Ko Ana Morrison tēra kua whai tūnga hei Executive Director: Strategic Partnerships me te Māori Success. Me uaua kā kite i te tangata me kī rānei he wahine o tēnei momo.

Ms Morrison (Ngāti Whakaue, Ngāti Tuwharetoa, Ngāti Pākehā) is an experienced strategic leader who has held senior level management and governance roles throughout her career, both nationally and internationally.

Dr Leon Fourie, Toi Ohomai Chief Executive, was delighted to welcome Ms Morrison to the Executive Leadership Team.

Ms Morrison has extensive community, iwi, corporate and international networks and brings a wealth of experience to the role in developing and executing strategy, policy and advocacy, and in partnerships with Māori, communities and iwi.

She was the first Māori woman and youngest Chair of a Te Arawa post-settlement commercial entity, Te Kotahitanga o Ngāti Whakaue Assets Trust and holds a number of influential governance roles within the region

Executive Director: Strategic Partnerships and Māori Success
Ana Morrison (Ngāti Whakaue, Ngāti Tuwharetoa, Ngāti Pākehā) has held senior roles throughout New Zealand and London, including as a Solicitor for Russell McVeagh, a Legal Counsel for BMC Software, and as the Contracts Manager for Manaaki Ora Trust.  She holds Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science degrees from The University of Auckland, and is a member of the Institute of Directors in NZ.  She is a recent graduate of the Institute of Directors’ Mentoring for Diversity programme, and is an Alumni of New Zealand’s Global Women Breakthrough Leaders Programme and the US Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Programme.
