Hand Drive Control as an Option to the Avant 200 Series at Glenbrook

Avant 200 series offers now an option for controlling the forward-reverse drive of the loader directly from the joystick. Because the drive can be controlled with a thumb on the joystick, the driver can drive and control the movements of the boom at the same time. This makes it possible also for paraplegic people to make full use of the machine.

The driver can choose between drive pedals and hand drive: the selection is as easy as a flip of a switch on the dashboard. Avant got the idea for the hand drive control from their customers some years ago and they produced the first customized machines with hand drive. However, at that time they thought that there was still room for improvement so that the use of the loader would be as easy for those people who don’t have functionality in their legs. They introduced the hand drive in the fall of 2016 at the Rehacare trade fair in Germany and this time the loader was as easy to use both with hand and with foot – which was their goal all along.

Avant is a loader with unmatched versatility with over 50 attachments available to get you through any job with ease. Smart, quality Finnish design and construction ensures a wise investment that will keep on performing to the high standards you require. Avant is not only a wheeled loader but also a forklift truck, backhoe, hydraulic generator and demolition machine, with high lift capacity and compact dimensions.

Avant has excellent all terrain capabilities and can go almost anywhere, with an ROPS frame and FOPS canopy, for excellent visibility, and it has a low center of gravity. It is easy to transport from one work site to another, and its low unladen weight allows working inside buildings as well, also on floors with limited load capacity. Avant also has an excellent, unrestricted field of vision to the attachment and working area.
