The intriguingly titled show “Dead Man Talking – An Audience with Phil Kerslake” took place at Christchurch venue The Piano last night, Wednesday 29 November.  The show featured Phil Kerslake who, amazingly, has survived cancer eight times and who now shares his life journey with others as an author and motivational speaker.  Phil’s show provided a glimpse into his life, and his philosophies on life and death.  In addition, award-winning New Zealand Actor, Will Hall who has starred in television shows such as Shortland Street, Netherwood and Bloodlines, took to the floor and asked Phil some intimate life questions!

One of the key sponsors of the show, Nick Johnstone, has an historic tie to law firm Wynn Williams in that he is the great-great-grandson of one of the founding partners.  When the firm heard about the show and its connection, it decided to provide its support and purchased tickets for its Young Professionals Group.  The group was established in 2014 as an opportunity for young professionals to network with likeminded people and consists of young lawyers from the firm and their Christchurch-based young professional contacts.
