Fifteen injured when bus and beach buggy crash

Police and other Emergency Services are currently at the scene of a serious crash on Puketona Road, Paihia. 

Initial reports from the scene indicate that a bus and a 'buggy' type vehicle have been involved with one of the vehicles on its side down a a bank following the crash.

The same reports indicate that 15 persons have been injured as a result of the crash, none of the injuries have been described as serious or critical although one person will be taken to Whangarei Base Hospital by NEST helicopter. 

All services are still currently engaged at the scene and further information will follow when known. 

The Police Serious Crash Unit will be investigating.....
