Tauranga Based Company Oasis Engineering Has Strong Ties to USA and Canada

Tauranga-based industry leading CNG specialist Oasis Engineering has a strong connection to the United States of America and Canada.

“We have many good relationships with some big players in the CNG industry over here,” stated Ricky Lee, while he was recently attending the Advanced Clean Transport Expo in California.

Oasis Engineering’s Ricky Lee is regularly travelling to global CNG events and visiting leading CNG companies in the United States and Canada to share ideas on customisation.

These relationships are a key part of the success for Oasis Engineering which appointed Ricky Lee as the Vice President of Business Development USA & Canada.

Ricky has been with Oasis Engineering for nearly four years and is a team player that really enjoys the challenges of the role.

Having been in the engineering industry since he was 19, Ricky started out his career with Page and Macrae Engineering in Mount Maunganui.

“After completing my apprenticeship, I worked in the R&D and Marine sector which provided me with an array of roles including diagnosing faults in the engine room of a container ship or manufacturing a golf course aeration machine,” says Ricky.

Spending a considerable amount of time travelling the world and experiencing different cultures set Ricky up for a distinguished career as an international Business Developer.

When Ricky isn’t travelling the world for business or for leisure he can be found fishing, visiting a food festival or brewing his own beer.

A passion for travel means Ricky is in his comfort zone when he’s visiting the USA and Canada.

Whether it be an international trade show, a marketing event or product development meeting Ricky is ready to share his knowledge.

Ricky is able to confidently discuss with prospects, customers, distributors and specifiers about the Ultra-fast fill system that Ricky and the team at Oasis Engineering developed for the fastest CNG transfer flow rate in the CNG industry.

CNG is hugely popular in the United States and Canada and Ricky likes to keep track of the needs and requirements of their customers and industry partners to be able to design and build high quality components.
