Will Fleming and his Please Blow My Mind podcast are on a mission to share captivating stories from fascinating Kiwis from all walks of life.
At its core Please Blow My Mind is long form interviews with interesting people in the format of a podcast, but it’s goals reach beyond that. “With this podcast I am aiming to have real, honest conversations with amazing people in our country and to share perspectives and ideas. I want to shine a light on the individuals out there who blow my mind.” says Please Blow My Mind podcast host Will Fleming.
With the purpose of sharing the human experience, Will Fleming wants to showcase a variety of different viewpoints from diverse Kiwi’s with his audience. “I am trying to find a world view in a society that tries to push us down one way of thinking,” comments Will.
“It feels like we need to pick a team. The problem with picking teams is that you need to win the game. My problem with that is that I don’t know what team I am on so I’ve decided to have 1000 conversations with different people to help me build my world view on life,” adds Will.
Here is where Will is taking it up a notch. “My goal is to build a mobile studio that can record podcasts, broadcast livestreams and record video interviews all inside a done-up caravan,” says Will. The studio will also be used for community live events as well as helping teach kiwi kids how to make their own podcasts and videos.
With the number one goal of being New Zealand’s premiere podcaster, Will is setting himself apart from other media outlets. “While everyone in the media industry is trying to make click-bait content, I am trying to make authentic, ideas rich content,” advises Will.
