The best tourist attraction in Vanuatu just got better. Vanuatu Helicopters have announced three new helicopter flight tours which will allow visitors to Vanuatu to experience the vibrancy of this island paradise from the air.

The new flights include:

The Summit Sensation, a stunning 25-minute scenic flight which departs from Vanuatu headquarters on the Seawall, Port Vila towards Mele Bay.  The flight takes you to the Summit Gardens, where Vanuatu Helicopters have exclusive landing rights in the beautiful botanical gardens.

“The views from here across the bay are quite simply, sensational,” says Alison Fleming, Group Marketing Manager for Vanuatu Helicopters.

“On this flight you will also see the Cascade Waterfall, Hideaway Island and Ifira Island on the way back to town. This is the perfect flight for those short on time if travelling by cruise ship.”

After landing at the Summit Botanical Gardens, snapping photos and soaking up the scenery, jump back in the helicopter for the best view of the Cascade Waterfalls and Hideaway island before landing back on the pontoon at the seafront.

The Extinct Volcano Landing. Just as the name suggests, this flight is perfect for anyone who has ever wished to stand on a volcano and witness the breathtaking 360-degree panorama of Vanuatu.

“If you are after the ultimate selfie, then this flight is for you,” says Alison.

The one-hour flight will take you past the Cascade Waterfall and along the coastline of Havannah Harbour before landing at 1500 feet on the volcano on Nguna Island. Amongst the many breath-taking sights to drink in from this vantage point include the Sheppard Island cluster, the vibrant Kakula Reef and the backdrop of Efate Island.

“The flight back to town is across the centre of the island so you get to experience the jungle-clad canyons – not too many people have ventured into here, and it looks almost

prehistoric,” says Alison.

And finally, there’s the Heli Turtle Combo, which will allow passengers to get up close and personal with the turtles of Vanuatu. Descend from the air into the beautiful Havannah Harbour and witness turtles and Dugongs frolicking in their natural environment, then land at the conservation sanctuary for a meet and greet with the sanctuary staff and the turtles themselves!

The tour includes a 20-minute flight time and 20 minutes at the sanctuary, and will offer views of the Cascade Waterfalls, Hideaway Island, Lepela Island, Moso Island and all the natural beauty and wildlife these places have to offer.
