Hamilton-Based Event Hosted by MediaPA And Crusoe's Retreat Celebrates The Revitalisation Of The Idyllic Fijian Resort

A Fijian-themed event allowing local business owners and potential guests a look at the revitalised Crusoe’s Retreat in Fiji was held in Hamilton on Thursday night.
Hosted by MediaPA and Crusoe’s Retreat, the event, which took place at the Keg Room in Rototuna, was centred around the successful revitalisation of the Fijian resort, with Neal Group general manager promising that even more improvements are on their way.
Scott Lee greeted the crowd with a hearty “Bula,” before detailing some of the many improvements made Crusoe’s Retreat.
These improvements include a new 22-seater spa pool, the waterside Taki Beach Bar and Grill, and the refurbishing of the 28 bures where guests can relax and enjoy the spectacular views on offer.
“This is the first of many revitalisation celebrations, because we’ve still got a more to do,” Scott said.
Food, drinks and entertainment, also Fijian-style, were provided. The Crusoe’s Retreat dancers took to the floor to perform a song and a dance, giving attendees a taste of the Fijian culture and customs that can be found in abundance at Crusoe’s Retreat.
Up and coming Kiwi singer Beth Winks was also in attendance. Compared by MediaPA CEO and MC of the evening Phillip Quay to well-known New Zealand artist Bic Runga, Beth showcased her talent with two performances, one of Bic Runga’s ‘Sway’, and her own single “I Found Home.”
Beth will be travelling to Crusoe’s Retreat in Fiji next week, courtesy of Crusoe’s Retreat, and performing live while there to celebrate and promote the newly revitalised Crusoe’s Retreat.
A competition was also held, with the lucky winner – Kendall Nolan from Yes Mortgages – receiving a free stay at the beautiful resort.
