Gourmet in the Gardens (Every Sunday until 24th March 2019)

Head to the Hamilton Gardens to soak up the sunshine and dance to some tunes while indulging in a vast array of cuisines. Argent Motor Lodge recommends that visitors should explore the newest garden inspired by Katherine Mansfield’s ‘The Garden Party’,. “This garden will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time to the early 1900s,” says Graeme The Hamilton Gardens is a crowd favourite as it welcomes 5,000 visitors on average each day in the first week of January.

A Hobbit Christmas (Friday 14 December 6.30pm)
The Hobbiton has a special Christmas treat for fans that is definitely worth a visit! Celebrate the festive season with the Hobbits and explore Middle Earth. This magical night gives visitors a guided tour of the entire movie set, drinks from the Green Dragon Inn, and delicious canapes, topped off with an exquisite Christmas buffet.
SKYCITY Hamilton Waikato Cup Day (Saturday 15 December)
No time to horse around! Get your glam on and enjoy a day out at the races with a few mates and some drinks at the Te Rapa Waikato Racing Club. Christmas at the Lake (Saturday 22 December 5pm)
Fun and festivities continue in Hamilton with a family-friendly Christmas at the Lake. Dance groups, live bands, food stalls, and Santa Claus will be at Innes Common to bring joy to the crowd. Kids will love the bouncy castle, games, face painting, and the glorious fireworks display that will conclude the night. “With Santa Claus making an appearance and massive fireworks display, this family friendly event for all ages,” advises Graeme.
