Ticket sales will close soon for The First New Zealand LGBTI Awards, which is first of its kind in New Zealand.

Tickets sales will close on the 26th November 2018. “You won’t want to miss out on getting ticks to the Awards Ceremony which will be a lavish black-tie affair,” says New Zealand LGBTI Awards, Director and MD of the Awards Silke Bader.

These awards will showcase politicians, academics, charity workers and celebrities that will walk down the Red Carpet for this celebration of love and equality.

Being held at a glitz and glam ceremony at The Cordis, Auckland on Thursday 29 November 2018, The New Zealand LGBTI Awards are a celebration of the extra-ordinary achievers in the LGBTI community.

Your ticket is also your pass to a fantastic night’s entertainment with a star-studded cast. Internationally-known actress and activist Lucy Lawless will be attending for The First New Zealand LGBTI Awards as their ambassador. “Lucy Lawless is well-known for lending her support to a number of causes including being a strong supporter of the LGBTI community,” adds Silke.

Other famous faces include Tamati Coffey who will be the MC for the evening and the Topp Twins, Jools and Linda, who will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award.

On the night of the Awards, a raffle will take place, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to Youthline. “The LGBTI Awards have selected Youthline as a charity partner, as its goals align closely with those of the Awards,” comments Silke.

Youthline is an incredible organisation that features several of youth development centres around the New Zealand, which aims to assist children and teens in need of counselling and support. A lot of the people Youthline support are often struggling with their sexual orientation and gender identification.
