Joelle King and Paul Coll Back In Action In Hong Kong

Commonwealth Games gold medal winners, Joelle King and Paul Coll are back in action tonight after a short break from PSA world tournaments.

The top-10 ranked players are on court in their singles matches this evening at the Hong Kong Squash Open Platinum tournament which features the majority of the world’s best.

Coll, seeded sixth for the tournament and ranked eighth in the world faces Hong Kong’s Lee Au ranked 22nd in his second round match after having a bye in the first round.

If Coll wins his opening match, starting at 8pm New Zealand time he’ll take on the either of the in-form players, Joel Makin (Wales) or Declan James (England). A potential clash with world No.1 Mohamed ElShorbagy awaits in the quarter-finals.

Joelle King is seeded fifth for the event is set to play Egyptian Mayar Hany ranked 28 in her first match in the second round from 10pm (NZT).

Earlier Amanda Landers-Murphy was beaten by top 15 ranked Amanda Sobhy (United States) in straight games in her first round match and Campbell Grayson lost to England’s George Park in his first round match.
