Getting into the Christmas spirit with beloved Hamilton East accommodation provider Aspen Manor Motel

We’re halfway through December already! The friendly team at award-winning Hamilton East accommodation provider Aspen Manor Motel are celebrating the end of a successful year by getting into the Christmas spirit in Hamilton city.

“Hamilton is rapidly developing, and I’ve noticed more and more events & activities emerging in the city over the past few years,” says Grace Tong, owner of Aspen Manor Motel. “The highlights for me so far this month have been the Quadrant Bar, Carols on the River, and the Hamilton Christmas Parade.”

In November, New Zealand’s first ‘Miracle Christmas Cocktail Bar’ opened its doors at The Quadrant on Victoria Street in the heart of the Hamilton CBD. Located only a few doors down from the city’s iconic Christmas tree, this Christmas-themed eatery has been a hit with the crowd with delicious food and dazzling decor.

Within the past week, Christmas craze has hit hard in Hamilton CBD with ‘Carols on the River’ being held on a beautiful Friday evening at the newly developed Victoria on the River, and the annual Hamilton Christmas Parade exhibiting close to 90 floats down Anglesea Street last Sunday.

“It’s great to see Hamilton come alive during the Christmas season, and it’s all happening only 5 minutes away from Aspen,” exclaims Grace. “We’re lucky that our motel is ideally located for our guests to easily attend all these fantastic events.”

There are still several more Christmas events to come in the Waikato region this December. “Now I’m looking forward to Christmas at the Lake and the Harrowfield Lights,” says Grace.

Christmas at the Lake is a free family-friendly event being held at Innes Common on Saturday 22nd December. With mind blowing live performances, delicious food, fun kids’ entertainment, fireworks, Santa Claus, and much more, this is a not-to-be-missed summer event.

It’s a Christmas wonderland every night on Harrowfield Drive with Hamilton’s popular ‘Harrowfield Lights’. This neighbourhood is well-known for their magical Christmas displays that embellish the street annually, with also a prize for the best display.
