There’s a variety of exciting activities on offer ranging from a tour along New Zealand’s largest walk-through aviary containing 16 species of native birds, to going on a ‘Face2Face’ encounter with the magnificent lemurs and southern white rhinoceros. “One of the best things about the Hamilton Zoo is their dedication towards the conservation of animals and the environment,” explains Graeme.
For example, 10% of the ‘Face2Face’ encounter fees go towards helping endangered animals in the wild. Not only this, but the Hamilton Zoo actively participates in numerous conservation and research projects for the betterment of wildlife.
