Queenstown-based tour company Heli Tours is promoting their Luxury Milford Sound Cruises, which takes visitors through an unforgettable experience flying into Fiordland National park and landing on the helipad of the luxury 24 metre catamaran - the Fiordland Jewel.

The tour departs Queenstown and tourists fly west towards Milford Sound with vast areas of native forest and alpine high-country farmland. The flight goes into the Fiordland National Park surrounded by numerous hidden valleys, waterfalls and alpine lakes before landing on the Fiordland Jewel private helipad.

The pilot and the friendly crew of the Fiordland Jewel welcome visitors on-board, and they proceed to enjoy a half-day cruise with lunch. They can soak in the majestic fiord and ocean views, whilst enjoying a luxurious lunch, featuring local seasonal ingredients, highlighting the fresh sea-fare cuisine, such as Blue Cod, Stewart Island Salmon, Stewart Island Green-lipped Mussels, New Zealand Merino Lamb, and wild West Coast Venison (when available) all matched with local award-winning wine.

After lunch, the flight returns back to Queenstown leaving Fiordland and over Glenorchy and Lake Wakatipu. The package includes helicopter transfers, three-course lunch prepared by a private chef with wine and beer, juices, coffee and tea. The trip is four-hours long and tourists can experience two helicopter landings.
