Caution advised on Wellington road

Police are advising motorists travelling the Rimutaka Hill Road (between Upper Hutt and Featherston)to exercise caution. 

Poor weather conditions (wind & rain) are effecting visibility and making driving hazardous.

There is also a diesel spill near the Kaitoke gardens which is creating an additional hazard for motorists. 

Care is required.
