Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ proudly announces new partnership with Indian Motorcycle as a major sponsor of the Bikers in Blue motorcycle ride, a national symbol of support for the thousands of Kiwis affected by prostate cancer.

They are calling on all bikers to register now for this fun-filled event on Sunday 8 September, hosted by five cities - Auckland, Hamilton, Palmerston North, Wellington and Christchurch - and roar through the streets resplendent in blue, in support of Kiwi men.

Indian Motorcycle’s Country Manager, Glenn Veal, says “We are proud to be able to support such an important event and very worthy cause.”

“We all know someone that has been affected by prostate cancer and as such, it is important that we do our part to help raise awareness for this disease and help break the stigma around regular testing,” Glenn says.

Over 800 motorcycles participated last year and helped raised over $24,000 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation with the organisers hoping for an even bigger turnout this year.

Bikers will ditch their traditional black leathers for wacky blue outfits to raise funds to help with prostate cancer research and to support those living with the disease. This is a great opportunity for fellow bikers to come together to enjoy a day of fun for a great cause.

Prostate Cancer Foundation CEO, Graeme Woodside, says “The money raised goes towards increasing awareness and funding research into one of the country’s most prolific cancers, that kills over 600 New Zealand men each year.”

“It is such a fun event for what is a very serious issue and we use it to inspire Kiwi men to take control of their health and get tested, because early detection is key to saving lives.

Up for grabs is a range of raffle prizes as well as one $500 Indian Motorcycles voucher for each ride location for a lucky rider who registers online at https://bikersinblue.org.nz/
