Truck accident has blocked SH3

Police have just received a call about a truck accident on SH3 just north of Tongaporutu.

This town is about 50 k's north of Waitara. 

It appears the truck has hit a bank.

The road is now completely blocked.

Police are still on the way to the scene.

The driver is reported to be ok with no or minimal injuries.

The road could be blocked for 1-2 hours until a tow truck arrives to move the truck.
